I've been training with Sharif since 2012 when I joined the Dallas Mavericks Dancers and five years later, I'm now with the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders and the thought of training with anyone else has never crossed my mind. I keep coming back for more because I love that Sharif actually listens to what specific goals I'm trying to achieve with my body and overall health, and he applies it to my customized workouts. Being a Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader requires the upkeep of an active, healthy lifestyle and Sharif has always offered advice on ways to take care of my body during my non-training days, such as meal prep, stretching and nutrition supplement recommendations. Training with Sharif over the years has greatly improved my cardio stamina, lean muscle definition and overall confidence! He continually encourages, challenges and pushes me to be better both physically and mentally. I know I can trust and rely on Sharif to help me achieve healthy, safe results. At the age of 59, I decided to change the direction of my health with a weight loss and fitness program. Having never worked out before, I found everything from cardio classes to spinning intimidating. That’s when I met Sharif Abboud. He changed everything for me, giving me a plan of attack and working with me to keep me focused, on track and motivated. I lost weight and went down 2 dress size, as well as gaining strength, muscle and endurance, making me determined to do this the rest of my life.

As a multi-sport athlete, I’ve always had a strong work ethic and significant self-motivation when it comes to training. For years, it was difficult for me to see the cost/benefit of hiring a personal trainer. However, as I entered my 30’s (and now as I approach my 40’s) striving for peak performance, I came to understand the benefit of accountability and customized coaching. This realization is completely attributable to my relationship with Sharif. For the last 6 or 7 years, Sharif has been my athletic trainer and friend. At 38 years old, I’m in the best shape of my life, and Sharif has helped elevate me to that level. He understands individual personalities, abilities (and inabilities), goals, and motivations. He sincerely cares about each of his clients and is actively interested in their physical and emotional well-being. I have been working with Sharif for about 4 years now and have lost almost 20lbs. He is the best of the best. He has been the one person that has continued to push me past my limits and reach my fitness goals. I can honestly say I am in the best shape of my life. Being a professional dancer, there are certain standards for the way your body needs to look. Sharif knew exactly what I needed in order to meet those standards, and no matter what got in the way... life, school, work, I always went back to Sharif knowing I wasn't only getting a workout but also mentally refocusing on what my goals were in life. Sharif has taught me to never give up and no matter what obstacles stand in the way to push through. Before I met Sharif I was overall not happy with my mental and physical appearance, since working with him, I have never felt better about myself. I have had the pleasure of training with Sharif for 6 years. He is by far the most motivational trainer I have ever worked with. When I met him I was almost 200lbs. I was miserable and I didn’t believe anything was ever going to change. In comes the man who changed it all!

I trained with Sharif at a minimum of 3 days a week to start. After a few weeks I already felt different. The negative voices in my head got quiet and I started hearing "I can." He could tell when I was doubting myself and when I wanted to give up. Sharif always seemed to know exactly what to say to keep my head in the game. Because I started to notice a difference in my body and more importantly, my self-esteem, I began training 5-6 days a week. He got me prepared for the event that really changed my life, meeting and getting to work for Jillian Michaels. Truly, I was ready for anything when I met her and am happy to call her a friend today. I can’t say enough good things about Sharif. It is an honor and a pleasure to know him. Oh and if you are wondering what I ended up weighing when I left to meet Jillian...145lbs!!!

I'd never been one to enjoy going to/working out at a gym. The gym was painfully boring and having people potentially stare at me, gave a fair amount of anxiety. I've always considered myself in pretty good shape, since I was glued to a bicycle 5 days a week logging 10-12 hours in the saddle. When it's the winter months, it's hard to get much time in, especially when it's cold and dark. I started working out with Sharif in November 2016, from the recommendation of my Fiancé (at the time). She raved about how fun, upbeat, challenging, and competitive his classes were, so I decided to join the next class I could. After that first class I realized two things, 1. I wasn't in that good of shape 2. I never felt so good at the end of a workout because of the level of motivation and accomplishment.

Sharif is a motivator, plain and simple. He tailors his group workouts to the strongest in the class, not the weakest. He makes everyone realize his or her full potential. His sessions are challenging, competitive and unbelievably rewarding. I can honestly say I look forward to his classes every single day. When I don't make it, the day feels different, not in a good way. Sharif workouts are an every day must.

I have had the opportunity to work out with Sharif for several years. In that time, I reached my best fitness level since college sports days a long time ago. Sharif is motivational, knowledgeable, and experienced. My primary workouts with him have been in high-intensity interval training and spin classes. His training resulted in substantial improvement in blood pressure, strength, stamina, flexibility, as well as mental focus even outside the gym. Sharif's engaging high energy as he coaches and teaches is infectious - he also makes it clear that he cares about his clients' goals. He has a passion for helping others succeed.

I am always looking to take my fitness regimen to the next level. I heard about Sharif’s "really challenging" class and I knew it was something I wanted to try. It only took one class and I was hooked! I’ve been taking three classes a week for a few months and my fitness level and strength has increased significantly. Sharif helped me recognize my upper body weaknesses and continues to assist me with maintaining a balanced, full-body workout. I don’t think I will ever perform a push up or a TRX movement without hearing him correct my form or motivate me to get in one more rep!

About three years ago, my doctor recommended I start taking cholesterol medication. He said my numbers weren’t good, and they hadn’t changed in several years. However, having an aversion to taking medications, I thought I would try exercise instead. I considered myself too old and out of shape to accomplish much, but thought I’d at least give it a try, so I began going to some of Sharif’s classes with friends at lunchtime. It was hard in the beginning, but he always worked with me and pushed me to go harder and farther than I would have on my own, and after a while I started to see results. At my next physical one-year later, I had lost 20 pounds and my cholesterol numbers had completely changed. I give Sharif the credit in all this, and work with him still. I never could have gotten to where I am without him, and that’s the gospel truth. I turn 60 years old this year, and even though I retired from the military 20 years ago, I’m in the best shape of my life.
